Kindergarten Skills List

Behavior

· Follow directions the first time given

· Be able to complete one and two part directions

· Be able to complete a task within a given time frame

· Work on being patient - understanding that demands can not be met immediately

· Work on impulsitivity – blurting out, getting out of his/her seat

· Develop independence – putting own items away

Motor Skills

· Tie shoes, button and zip clothing

· Cut simple shapes, lines

· Hold pencil or crayon correctly

Academic

· Write first name legibly (Begin with a capital letter / all other letters lower case)

· Know phone number, address, and birthday

· Write numerals 0-10

· Recite letters of the alphabet

· Recognize most letters of the alphabet

· Become aware of the initial sounds of the letters

· Know the four basic shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle)

One bottle of hand sanitizer

Stickers (seasonal or reward)

16-pack skinny crayons (Crayola)

2 rectangular erasers
