About
A Commitment to Academic Excellence and Spiritual Growth
High Point Christian Academy is a Pre-K – 12th grade college preparatory academy staffed with gifted educators. Each classroom is energized by a challenging and supportive environment. Smaller class sizes enable our talented teachers to provide individual attention and to encourage students to perform at their highest level.
Over the past 25 years much has certainly changed on the campus of High Point Christian Academy: new faces, buildings and classrooms; new technology; and enhanced learning techniques. However, the one thing that has remained constant is our love for and focus on Jesus Christ. HPCA was founded 25 years ago to be a school that would lead, build, and equip students to be life-long disciples of Christ. Today, this is more critical – and apparent – than ever.
HPCA has an enrollment of over 780 students, over 130 faculty and staff members, and serves students representing 100 different churches and 40 various zip codes. Cougar students thrive in an advanced technological environment as they develop 21st century skills. High school students have 1:1 access to Chromebooks, AP and online classes are also offered in high school. All students benefit from technology classes with robotics and 3D printing projects. Classrooms campus-wide are equipped with smart boards or interactive panels.
In addition to a rigorous academic program, HPCA offers a plethora of Fine Arts and Athletic programs. The Fine Arts Program includes drama, concert choir, women’s ensemble, Cantare and Bel Canto chorus, concert band and jazz band. Visual arts includes honors level classes, as well as Comic Book Illustration.
There are 34 athletic teams in 12 different sports. Our student athletes have won nine State Championships and 44 Conference Titles. In addition to their on-field accomplishments, each team also participates in a community service initiative.
Certified teachers lead the challenging academic program, utilizing a variety of textbook resources in the teaching of Math, Science, Language, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies and Bible. Integration of Scripture takes place across the curriculum as Biblical principles are applied to everyday learning. Additional areas of study include art, technology, physical education, music, foreign language, and library.
